In coming up with the idea for this years award winning Peterson Family Christmas Letter(copyright 1994) we wondered aloud what our letter would have looked like over the years had we owned a PC.
Most of you may have seen the great ads by Apple comparing the two. We shudder to think that our letter would not have been as spectacular as it was. I mean really where would you be today had you not been able to experience the greateness that is the Peterson Family Christmas Letter? A thought most of us do not want to contemplate.So to illustrate we will be giving examples of what our letter this year would be like created on a Mac and then the far inferior PC. Lets take our Christmas vacation last year for our first experiment.
We spent a lovely time in Phoenix with Chris’ parents and the Harpers from Seattle. Now notice the difference in the PC version. In this case we would have gone to Dickenson ND for a confrence on the effect of hemorrhoids and the global economy. That does not sound like too much fun does it?
Most of you know that this year we brought our second little girl into the world. Dakota Rae Peterson was born on August 18th and has been making us smile every day since.
Now the PC version would be dramatically different. It would perhaps be we welcomed our second pet rock into the family and it has been doing absolutely nothing since. See the difference? We do. 
How about McKenna? Well she is THE MOST active four year old ever
and is amazing us every day with what she is learning. She started playschool this year, is in her second year of dance, is a great big sister to Dakota, 
and went to her first NHL hockey game recently. To which she brought a sign and was seen on the big screen. 
Now again notice the difference in interestingness with the PC version. Pet rock number one did not move this year. Wow, that was really dynamic.
Since a great part of the Peterson Family Christmas Letter has always been comedy we will continue on with the theme to drive our point home. This time we will use Chris and Donna as our example. Donna is home on maternity leave (for a year) and is enjoing her time at home with the girls. PC version goes like this...Donna spent a day with the pet rock.
Chris’s work this year gave him an experience of a lifetime, chasing the Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers all the way to game seven of the finals He also became a Canadian Citizen. Here is where the rubber hits the road.
PC - Chris this year for work spent the spring at the World Championship of Marbles charting the success of the Zap ND team. BOOORING.
Truly YOUR Christmas experience would not have been quite the same had the Peterson Family Christmas Letter been produced on a PC. You can thank us later. From the Peterson’s to you, have a Very Merry Mac Chritsmas. PC - May your colon not be clogged in the new year.
